Hope Hy

Performer | Choreographer

Irene Molloy, HELLO! DOLLY

Hello! My name is Hope and I'm a theatre artist and choreographer based out of the Upstate NY Finger Lakes region. I trained at Messiah University where I hold a Bachelor of Arts in theatre performance and directing, Magna Cum Laude. I currently works as a company actor, teacher, and freelance choreographer.

As a theater artist, I create for the impactful enjoyment and inspiration of others. There is nothing more exciting or illuminating than stories. I adore how stories are a universal language, something I can use to connect with my audience in deeply emotional and exciting ways. I strive to find ways to make my work edifying to myself and those around me.

MY MISSION

MY MISSION

"My desire to tell stories of impact and importance leads me to view every aspect of the creative process as highly valuable and helps me to prioritize connection, discipline, and details. I have a heart for change, and I use theater as both an educational tool and an opportunity to build relationships. The craft of theatre is a company effort and an opportunity to contribute to a bigger cause, a bigger picture, a bigger story.

I am continually thrilled by the idea that my work with a community of theatre and dance artists has a greater purpose than something I might accomplish on my own. My love of stories and desire for connection is beautifully blended in theatre as I am allowed to show people the artists within themselves."
